About Us

The Communities Joined In Action Campaign is working to revolutionize health care by helping communities ensure health care access for all. The Network is to become a catalyst in the national movement to achieve 100% Access/0 Disparities, started in 1998 by the U.S. Bureau of Primary Health Care.

A private, non-profit organization, the Communities Joined In Action brokers access to value-added technical talent, peer-mentors from model communities, coaches with first-hand experience and experts that can help communities at every step in the process -- from gaining commitment of political leaders and evaluating health care delivery options to communicating financial returns and developing and financing business plans.

The campaign was created with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Sisters of Mercy Health System, Ascension Health and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. National partners include United Way of America and the National Association of Counties.

A private, non-profit organization, the Communities Joined In Action campaign provides access to top-notch technical talent, peer-mentors from model communities, and experts that can help communities at every step in the process -- from gaining commitment of political leaders and evaluating health care delivery options to communicating financial returns and developing and financing business plans. Utilizing coaches with first-hand experience creating nationally acclaimed community access systems, we help communities organize for action and keep coalitions energized and moving forward.
