Become a Member in Communities Joined in Action (CJA)!

We are excited that you are interested in joining Communities Joined in Action, a membership organization comprised of community leaders, health departments, community health centers, hospitals, practitioners and networks, AHECs, government officials, university professors and business leaders. We are a new and dynamic voice committed to sustaining the strength and integrity of community-led solutions.

CJA members care passionately about innovative use of available resources to integrate their local systems so that we achieve 100% access with zero disparities. These leaders believe it can be done and they are doing it!

We are calling this a “learning community” and want you to be a meaningful part of it. As a member of this learning community, you will be linked to other communities across America by whatever mechanism will work: personally, e-mail, web page, referral and/or shared tools. Join us and help define what communities need to move smarter, faster and bolder across the territory others have successfully maneuvered.

America is slipping behind on every health measure. This means it is more important than ever to leverage our resources. We believe strategically amplified voices are more effective than a single voice, and that if we work together we can align national policy with local agendas and strategies. Some communities already have results that prove the positive impacts of moving from a chaotic health care system to an orderly one. CJA provides a structured opportunity to learn from these pioneers. The benefits of CJA membership include easy access to:

• Connect you to affordable, value-added peer-to-peer technical assistance from other community members who have had similar challenges and make it accessible to communities on a “just in time” basis.
• Discounted rates to a series of intensive Learning Institutes and “how to” materials from leaders who have been successful and developed it into three compelling Institutes:
  • Return on Community Investment (ROCI)
  • Strategies for Achieving Community-Wide Access to Pharmaceuticals
  • Improving Health Outcomes
• Enable communities to organize events that generate political will and dramatic leaps in progress.
• Coordinate the efforts of many supporters and funders access to communities “ready” to partner for better health
• Facilitate the development and growth of state or regional networks of local communities joined in action towards 100% Access and 0 Disparities.
• Leadership development
• A stronger, shared voice at the state and national policy level.
