Rick Wilk serves as the Regional Administrator for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Chicago Regional Office. He received his MPH from the University of Hawaii in Health Education and MBA in International Business. Rick has two grown sons. One son loves being a track coach in Ohio and the other is a student living the dream in Hawaii. Mr. Wilk in committed to access to care for all and the elimination of health care disparities. He has a special interest in transformative meetings that move groups into action to produce measurable results through effective questions, networking, and empowering individuals to make meaningful contributions. His recent work includes:
- Assisting community coalitions across the country increase access to care and coverage, improve health outcomes and reduce disparities.
- Facilitate affiliations between health care, business and public organizations to expand care access to care for medically underserved populations
- Development of the Return on Community Investment methodology.
- Development of a Program Integrity Initiative designed to ensure that federal grant funds are utilized efficiently.
Prior to federal service, Mr. Wilk led health care organizations that delivered primary care, rehabilitation and long term care services in the private sector.
