Brian M. Rahmer, Ph.D., M.S., is vice president of Health and Housing at Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. In this role, Brian leads Enterprise’s health and housing initiatives, bringing together the fields of public health, health care, and affordable housing for the creation and promotion of healthy communities nationwide. Throughout his career, Brian has focused on impacting the social determinants of health and the socio-political forces that shape health outcomes. He has engaged partners across a diverse array of communities to better understand and respond to health inequalities while placing an advocacy emphasis on civic engagement for healthy public policy. Prior to joining Enterprise, Brian was director of Community Health Engagement at Christiana Care Health System’s Office of Health Equity. Key responsibilities included engaging community networks, coalitions, organizations and civic stakeholders to assist in the development, coordination and implementation of evidence based initiatives focused on optimal community health, with a primary focus on reducing health disparities and inequalities. A native of Delaware, Brian earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Delaware’s College of Health Sciences and a doctorate in public policy from the University of Delaware’s School of Public Policy and Administration, where he also holds an appointment as Policy Fellow. He holds an additional appointment as Adjunct Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Public Health Initiatives. He lives with his wife and children in Wilmington, DE.
